Last year, Onlink Services conducted a survey among high-end and luxury travel companies about the number of clients who know which hotel they want to book before contacting the travel agency.
We are pleased to share with you the results of the survey below.

39.2% of clients know in advance which hotel they want to book before contacting the travel agency
Over 200 travel companies were questioned
Participating countries: Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan
Some agencies reported only 5% of their clients to have a preferred hotel, other agencies reported 90%
The majority of travel companies advised that this is an increasing trend as clients are often influenced by opinions and recommendations of their friends and, increasingly, from social media posts
Many agencies advised that many clients started using booking.com and often contact the agency for visa destinations and/or because of language barriers
